Virginia Kittrell was born on June 8, 1946, in Beaufort County, North Carolina, to the late Essau Kittrell and Virgina Gray Lacy. She departed this earthly life on Thursday, January 23, 2025.
Virginia worked as Nurse Aide for a Home Health Facility in Washington, North Carolina for numerous years. She loved knitting, gardening, flowers, and fishing. Virgina was a member of Woodstock FWB Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Michael Lacy, Johnny Lacy, Andrew Gray, John R. Lacy, and Andrew Lacy, Jr., and one grandson Antonio Durante’ Lacy.
Virginia leaves to cherish her memories: six daughters, Marilyn Linton (Herman) of Greenville, NC, Sharon Spencer (Kenneth) of Goldsboro, NC, Angela Lacy of Washington, NC, Gloria McCullough (Joseph) of Washington, NC, Rolette Lacy of Greenville, NC, Wanda Eaton of Greenville, NC; one sister, Mary Freeman of Belhaven, NC; a honorary sister, Martha Outlaw of Landover, MD; one sister-in-law, Glenda C. Lacy of Washington, NC; ten grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Woodstock FWB Church. Viewing will be Friday, January 31, 2025 from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM at People’s Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow the service in Woodstock Church Cemetery.
