Mr. Ronnie Ray Palmer, 57, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at his home in Belhaven surrounded by loving family. Ronnie was born on August 13, 1968, to Queen and Robert Palmer, Sr. he entered his eternal rest on May 17, 2026.
Ronnie Ray, as he was affectionately known, attended J. A. W. High School and proudly graduated with the class of 1987. Ronnie was employed with Singer Furniture Company, and Grady-White Boats. He loved to detail cars and took pride in his work. Some of the things Ronnie enjoyed was a cold Mountain Dew, a Twix bar, Apple Jelly Cake, and a good bowl of beans with biscuits. He also enjoyed playing Basketball and listening to his music. Ronnie touched many lives in different ways.
Ronnie attended Hoggard’s Temple in his early years, under the leadership of the late Superintendent Hoggard.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Queen Palmer; one sister, Co-Pastor Helena Smith; two brothers, Rudolph Palmer and Glenn Palmer; a great, great niece, Genesis; and a great, great nephew, Josiah.
Ronnie Ray leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife Danielle W. Palmer; his daughter, Ronielle Palmer: two beloved grandchildren, Kyren Palmer, and Aven Elliott; two sisters, Patricia Cobb (Brady) and Vuanita Spencer, both of Belhaven, NC; one brother, Robert Palmer, Jr. (Tonja) of Greenville, NC; his mother in law, Hilda M. Warren; one aunt, Ellen Washington of Maryland; four sister in laws; three brother in laws; seven aunt in laws; five uncle in laws; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; a special neighbor, Mrs. Sophia McCloud.
Viewing will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at People's Memorial Chapel. The Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 1:00 PM at White Plains Church Ministries, 748 Edward St. Belhaven, NC 27801. Interment will follow the Service at Whitfield & Whitley Cemetery, Belhaven, NC.
