Mr. James Edward Lee Benston

Mr. James Edward Benston, 90 of Yanceyville, North Carolina, formerly of Engelhard, North Carolina, departed this life on Friday, June 21, 2024.

His life's devotion, service to God and mankind will be celebrated 1:00 PM Sunday, June 30, 2024, at St. Lydia Baptist Church of Swan Quarter, NC.

Burial will follow in the Faithful Hannah Baptist Church Cemetery.

James is survived by his two sons, James Shelton, and Carter Midgette; one daughter, Reverend Selma Hunter; two brother, Lee Thomas Benston, Sammy Lee Benston; one sister, Sarah Murray; five grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends. 

Public viewing will be held on Friday, June 27, 2024 from 4 - 7 PM, at People's Memorial Chapel.
