Mr. Derek Attawan "Dirk” Blount

Mr. Derek Blount, of Chocowinity, North Carolina, peacefully departed this earthly life on Wednesday, November 5, 2025.

A Viewing will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 11:50 AM at House of Prayer Deliverance Ministry, 318 N. Pierce Street, Washington, NC 27889.

A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 12:00 PM, also at House of Prayer Deliverance Ministry.

Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Washington, North Carolina.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the home of his daughter, Ms. Niadra Pratt, beginning on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 5:30 PM until 7:30 PM, and again on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM.

The family appreciates all expressions of love, comfort, and support during this time of bereavement.
