Mr. Dennis Ray “Rabbit” Spencer

Mr. Dennis Ray “Rabbit” Spencer, 84, entered this world as the youngest child and only son to the late David Lee and Emiline Spencer on January 7, 1942 in Englehard, NC. He entered into rest on Monday, January 19,2026 at his residence.

Dennis received his education in Engelhard, NC before spending years traveling and living throughout North Carolina. He worked in the farming and agriculture industry, requiring him to travel for work, until he returned to Engelhard, where he lived his remaining years.

Dennis was outspoken and loved by many. He met and married the love of his life, Emmer Spencer on May 30, 1991. He leaves Emmer, his wife of nearly 35 years, to cherish his memory.Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, David Lee and Emiline Spencer and his older sister, Lola Lee Johnson.

Those who remain to reflect upon and cherish the precious memories of him are his sons, Curtis Spencer, Joshua Spencer and Jarrette Howard, daughter Regina Howard, his only beloved niece Sandra Webb (Benjamin), great nieces and nephew and their families, Pamela Foreman (Darren) and children Kenneth and Marcus Briggs, Edward “Bubba” Barrow, Jr. and children Sierra Peele, Erykah, Zavier and Lyric Barrow and Ebony Blow (Anthony) and son Eric Webb and a host offamily and friends.

Funeral services will held at 12:00 PM Friday, February 6,2026, at the Mt Pilgrim COC, DOC Church Engelhard, NC. Viewing will be held at the Church from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Interment will follow in the Ada & Brown Cemetery.
